KIZER & BENDER? Where’s Kizer?

I’m glad you asked!

In 2023, Rich retired for health reasons, and I’ve continued our keynotes, seminars, and consulting as a solo act. The stage feels different without him, but the energy remains the same. We are both so grateful to everyone who has supported us, laughed with us, and learned with us along the way. And I’m especially thankful to those who continue to join me on my Retail Adventures journey.

Our very first Retail Adventures in the REAL World presentation was on April 17, 1990. When Rich and I walked onstage that day, neither of us could have imagined the extraordinary path ahead. Every so often we’ve dared to rewatch that debut. On the screen are two people who look only vaguely familiar: I had BIG hair, even bigger glasses, and the first of many red power suits. (That suit still hangs in my closet, patiently waiting for the day I can button it again.) And Rich? Aside from adding a beard sometime around 1993, he hasn’t changed a bit. I’m convinced he has a portrait aging in his attic à la Dorian Gray.

So, here’s to KIZER & BENDER, and to the road ahead. More stages, more stories, and plenty of laughs. I’m ready.
